Deans Dental Clinic acts as a facilitator for dental services provided by independent local clinics in Turkey. The guarantee offered is provided by the dental clinic, and its validity is subject to you entering into a contract with the local clinic for the provision of dental services.
It’s often overlooked by patients seeking dental treatment abroad, but the dental guarantee is a crucial aspect. Unfortunately, many clinics fail to transparently present the terms and conditions of their guarantees. While it’s not a global legal requirement for dental clinics to offer guarantees, it’s advisable to inquire about this before booking any treatment, as many clinics may not provide any form of guarantee.
Deans Dental Clinic takes pride in ensuring that patients receive a clear and comprehensive dental guarantee from the local clinic. The guarantee includes transparent details of the terms and conditions, presented in an easily understandable language. In addition to the standard dental treatment guarantee, in the case of a defect in dentistry, the local clinic will offer a contribution towards the cost of your return flights, up to the single value of €150*.
In the rare event of a failure of laboratory works, the local clinic will cover all necessary dental and laboratory costs to rectify the issue upon your return. For minor adjustments, a single contribution will be made by the local clinic towards corrective treatment in your home country.
It’s important to note that the provision of remedial treatment, including any replacement of the original treatment, does not extend the dental guarantee beyond its initial term.
Below is a list of treatments covered by the guarantee and the respective coverage periods:
- Dental Implants – Lifetime Guarantee:
- The implant screw itself is guaranteed against fracturing or breaking for a lifetime.
- In case of implant failure, the clinic will replace it once without charge.
- Dental Crowns / Full Veneers – 5 Year Guarantee:
- Guaranteed against breakages, chipping, or cement failure for a period of 5 years.
- The clinic will make a single maximum contribution of €100 for minor repairs.
- Dental Bridges – 5 Year Guarantee:
- Guaranteed against breakages, chipping, or cement failure for a period of 5 years.
- The clinic will make a single maximum contribution of €100 for minor repairs.
- Dental Laminate Veneers – 3 Year Guarantee:
- Guaranteed against breakages, chipping, or cement failure for a period of 3 years.
- The clinic will make a single maximum contribution of €100 for minor repairs.
- Dental Lumineers – 3 Year Guarantee:
- Guaranteed against breakages, chipping, or cement failure for a period of 3 years.
- The clinic will make a single maximum contribution of €100 for minor repairs.
- Dental Fillings – 1 Year Guarantee:
- Guaranteed against falling away from your natural tooth for a period of 1 year.
- The clinic will make a single maximum contribution of €30 for minor repairs.
- Dental Inlays/Onlays – 2 Year Guarantee:
- Guaranteed against breakages, chipping, or cement failure for a period of 2 years.
- The clinic will make a single maximum contribution of €50 for minor repairs.
- Cosmetic Dentures – 1 Year Guarantee:
- Guaranteed against breakages for a period of 1 year.
- The clinic will reimburse the cost for minor repairs, up to the value of €30.
Exclusions:
- Root Canal Treatment: No guarantee due to the nature of the human body.
- Dental Post: No guarantee due to the complexity of the treatment.
- Dental Treatment Initiated by Another Dentist or Clinic: No guarantee in such instances.
It’s essential to be aware that charges for dental treatment incurred by clinics not affiliated with Deans Dental Clinic or the local clinics will not be reimbursed unless agreed upon in writing by an authorized representative of Deans Dental Clinic before seeking or undergoing such treatment.
In the event that a patient initiates dental treatment in another dental clinic and requests Deans Dental Clinic to complete the treatment, it is crucial to be aware that Deans Dental Clinic is not responsible for all the treatment carried out. Any issues that arise could lead to a dispute regarding which clinic is accountable, and, therefore, Deans Dental Clinic cannot provide any form of guarantee in such instances.
Important: The Guarantee will be invalidated in the following circumstances:
- Neglect of oral hygiene.
- Lack of routine dental check-ups, including a Panoramic X-Ray and a Scale and Polish at least once a year (invoice required).
- Non-compliance with Dentists’ or Oral Surgeons’ instructions.
- Failure to fulfill payment obligations.
- Subsequent treatment without prior authorization, excluding Scale and Polish treatments.
- Improper maintenance of removable restorations, such as partial or full dentures.
- Inability to guarantee temporary teeth against breakage or the need for re-cementation.
- Recession or deterioration of gum tissue or bone.
- Nail biting contributing to dental issues.
- Non-attendance of any appointment given by the local dental clinic.
- Engagement in contact sports or activities that may cause dental health issues or injury.
- Smoking contributing to dental issues.
- Involvement in activities or drugs affecting blood pressure artificially.
- Wearing tooth/teeth grillz or jewelry attached to teeth, tongue, or lips.
- Use of recreational or prescribed drugs or supplements not declared at the time of dental work.
- Accidental damage, such as dropping dentures or damage by a third party.
- Recurring or reoccurring dental issues considered unrelated to dentistry.
- Migration of Dental Implant.
- Rejection of Bone Grafting.
- Presence of general illness affecting the chewing organ, jawbone, or tissue (e.g., diabetes, epilepsy, osteoporosis, excessive X-rays, mental disorders, or chemotherapy).
- Inappropriate selection of color, shape, or size of dental prosthetic or prosthesis by the patient.
- Excessive grinding or bruxism.
- Dental issues during pregnancy.
- Preparation trauma during crown and bridgework not visible on the patient’s final x-ray.
- Substantial gain or loss in weight.
- Non-wearing of a provided gum shield as advised.
- Non-disclosure of pregnancy or age under 18 at the time of treatment.
- Non-obtaining or non-following of a prescribed medication, leading to voiding of the guarantee.
- Failure to return for the completion of dental treatment within 12 months of the last signed consent form.
In case corrective treatment is needed in Turkey, and a defect of dentistry is established upon return, the clinic offers a contribution towards the cost of return flights, up to the single value of €150. An invoice showing the flight cost is required as proof of payment (in PDF format only). This guarantee does not cover other travel and accommodation costs.
To utilize dental treatment within the guarantee terms, the patient must return to the clinic that provided the original treatment within 12 months of informing Deans Dental Clinic of the issue in writing via email. For urgent cases, where pain is reported, and a return is recommended within 30 days, a letter can be provided to the employer stating the clinical necessity of the return. No contribution towards flight costs will be made if travel occurs later than 30 days following the recommendation to return.
